Harley Road King….

Late last summer (2019) I bought myself an 01 Harley Road King twin cam, I have a real soft spot for the touring Harley’s, they are big, easy to ride, comfortable, and very cool.

This one, was unfortunately dropped by the previous owner, and slid up the road causing some cosmetic damage to the tour pack, handlebars, and crash guards, it was enough for the insurance company to write it off due to the expense of replacement parts, so it has an insurance marker against it, NS for Non Structural.  This doesn’t bother me, as it made the bike cheaper to buy,  and to be fair, I am not precious with my bikes, they are to be ridden, not cherished and polished never to go anywhere.

2020 is just around the corner…

I have not done as much as I would have liked through 2019, my health has not been great, but I am sure things will sort out? well I hope they do. As we head into a new year, and a new decade, I have already booked into a couple of camps, the first being in January! Brrrrrr.

My last camp of 2019 was held at a fort on the south coast, a great event celebrating the Solent MCC 50th anniversary.

Wow a sunny day, out on the Glide…

Really no kidding, we got a genuine sunny day, it started with thick fog though, but cleared up nicely, so I dropped by my lockup and picked up my 96 Harley Glide, then a quick trip over to the local Harley dealer to grab some spare keys, and then out for a few miles just for the fun of it.

I decided that the backstreets needed a little more thunder, so I started looking and found myself a nice old 1996 Evo electraglide, only two owners, the first of which was the “Gregory’s Girl” actor, John Gordon Sinclair. And nice low mileage too.

Roll on summer.

A Weekend at the Eurojumble…

I spent last weekend camped at the Netley Marsh, Eurojumble, down on the edge of the New Forest, I go every year as it coincides with my Birthday, so I take a day off work for a bit of Me time.

This year it was heaving, the weather has been great, and the weekend was no different, with a high pressure sitting over the UK, giving us clear blue sky, and Hot sun. Of course this good weather brings out the crowds, and people came from all over Europe and beyond, the place was rammed.
