VMCC Jumble Pirbtight…

It was a nice little jumble today in the village of Pirbright out near Guildford, cold, damp, and grey, a typical winters day. But this never stopped people turning up on some nice old classics. And I even managed to find a nice little owners club tag for myself.

Down Kempton Way…

It was the last Kempton of 2016 today, so there we did go. Today was a tad chilly, the sun tried but the cloud won. And although it stayed dry, the wind had a real edge to it, but there was plenty to see, lots of people milling about, and some nice stuff to buy if you looked hard enough.

Holy cow my life has got busy. I seem to have so little time right now, new job, decorating in readiness to sell my house, where does the time go?

So best I shut up and post some more pictures from the last Kempton Jumble a couple of weeks back….

Friday comes and it was time to load the bike, for it was time to head East, so I am off camping to the wilds of Kent …… to a village that sounds as if it comes from the heart of middle earth, and Hobbits should be at the bar! a little old village called Stelling Minnis.

Beer with friends, camping in the grounds of a pub, and a forecast of Autumn rain, what could be better?

So I load Black Bess my Guzzi for what will be its longest run so far, each time I have gone a bit further, but this is it, if it makes this weekend it is officially a Rally bike.
I head off into the madness that is a Friday lunch time, and the stress inducing M25, but my Guzzi ambles along easily, and I just hold on and enjoy the ride. pretty soon and I have run the M3, M25, and M20 and am now down by the Kent coast as I head into Whitstable to meet up with Ed, before heading out again to join Graham at “The Dog Inn at Wingham”

time was marching on, and it was soon time to hit the lanes, and head to the camp at the Rose and Crown, where we would be meeting up with Shaun (M21), Bob (Norton Big 4) and Marcus (Ariel) After a good night of beer and food in the pub and a late night for some of us, Saturday morning everybody was looking a little fragile

And as for the Guzzi, perfect, no problems there or back, just a little adjustment of the front brake, and an oil change when I got back home.

Where to next?

Today was the annual Talmag trial, held just outside Aldershot, here in the UK. This is always a well attended trial, with people coming from as far away as Germany. The weather for once played in our favour, and the torrential overnight rain cleared away the snow and ice, leaving a damp ground, but a blue sky sunny day.

Norton at rest.

This past weekend I had a small trip on the BMW to meet up with some friends in Norfolk, at the village of Weybourne, weather was great, roads are fantastic, and a good time was had by all.
