Today Sunday 29th, was the day of the annual Talmag pre 65 trial, held at Hungry Hill, Aldershot. 200 riders enjoying a Sunday in the woods.

As 2016 draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have visited my blog, and those who have left a comment or two. it is always nice to get some feedback from people around the world. it proves we are not so different, with our love of old motorcycles to bind us all together.

25/3/17 – The VMCC BIKE-JUMBLE, Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet. genuine old bike jumble plus trade stalls selling new spares and accessories. plenty of interesting ‘barn fresh’ bits. 22/04/17 – Bristol Italian Auto Moto festival.
Today was the annual Talmag trial, held just outside Aldershot, here in the UK. This is always a well attended trial, with people coming from as far away as Germany. The weather for once played in our favour, and the torrential overnight rain cleared away the snow and ice, leaving a damp ground, but a blue sky sunny day.

So that is the new year well and truly started, Kempton jumble yesterday, and the Talmag today….
A nice Norton 500T trials bike project at Kempton on saturday, I never managed to find the price, but these bikes look great when they are done, as you will see from the picture I took at the Talmag trial on Sunday.

It was just one of those weekends, lots to do, lots to see, time with friends, just having fun, and the weather was kind to, sunny but very cold, the wind had a real icy bite, but it never detracted from a great weekend. So where did it start, well it was a Kempton motorcycle jumble weekend for a start, so that is where we all headed on Saturday morning, to mooch about looking for parts to keep our old nails on the road. I never had much luck at finding stuff this time around, sometimes you win, sometimes not, it really doesn’t matter, it is just being there that counts.

And then Sunday morning again was bright and very cold, but it was the Talmag pre 65 trial at Aldershot, so that is where I and my flask did go…
